I have also completed a work experience placement for eighteen days at a Birmingham-based magazine called Go-Woman!, part of the Go-Woman! Alliance. During my placement I conducted interviews, some planned and some spontaneous, as well as engaging in further research and writing articles. I proofed my own work and attended meetings to discuss magazine content with the editor. For an article I attended 'Women Making It 2012' in Balsall Heath as part of International Women's Day, where I represented Go-Woman! Magazine, conducted interviews for my research and took photographs to supplement the article I was working on.
At the moment I have a part-time job as an On-line Student Ambassador; as part of this job I am to keep a blog for potential Newman University students to read and monitor the Newman Newbies page. I am also responsible for generating traffic and followers to my blog. The topics that I cover will be used to show potential students what life as a Newman student is like, hopefully helping their decision making when choosing a university themselves. As I write it is of the utmost importance that I keep this in mind.
